Count your many blessings!

Lately I have been in a wierd funk. I guess it is because I am so far away and I miss everyone. So anyways, I have been reading my scriptures and really trying to be grateful and positive. The devil gets to me sometimes. Well today I had a jumpstart on gratitude and that the Lord is there even when we feel alone. I was making a quiche today. I told the kids it was a pie. They were so excited to eat it. Eating it is another story. I went to get my knife so I could cut the cheese in half to shred. My children were playing in the kitchen. I got my knife then I got the cheese and closed the refrigerator door. As I closed the door all of my knives fell down. I was under them all. I screamed of course. Thankfully, I nor my children were hurt. I quickly told Michael Jr. that we needed to say a prayer to thank Heavenly Father that we were not hurt. Michael got on his knees and he said the prayer. This incident is my first in my gratitude journal. The Lord is always there. Love you, Desiree

I'm trying to keep a gratitude journal too! It's not a habit I remember to do everyday yet but I'm hoping it will be soon! It helps me to see all of the blessings around me even on my bad days!

Freak, Desiree! Put those knives in a drawer with a safety latch or a chopping block or something!
